SQL Server 2025 is available for download here. The SQL Server 2025 section will let you get the Developer edition, which is free. Starting with 2025, you can get either a Standard or Enterprise version of Developer.

I’ve also posted a script on GitHub with examples of some new T-SQL features.
I wrote these running against preview editions, but the features also work in the release version. For the fuzzy match functions, you’ll have to enable the Preview Features setting in order to run those:
ALTER DATABASE SCOPED CONFIGURATION SET PREVIEW_FEATURES = ON;
There’s also a new version of SSMS (v22). I’ll have a post on it coming out shortly.
